Pharmacy Technician (Full-time) Cherryville, NC

Essential Functions Involve (but are not limited to):

  • Assist pharmacist(s) in filling medication orders

  • Assist with inventory management by stocking and restocking medications on shelves

  • Process prescriptions at data entry quickly and accurately

  • Interpret and reprocess most insurance claim rejects

  • Understand medication synchronization. Make patient contact calls and process synced medications

  • Package medications for unit dose dispensing

  • Inspect out of date items, tag, pull, and clean as needed.

  • Answer phone calls and handle questions that do not require pharmacist expertise or judgment and routes calls to the appropriate party as necessary

  • Assist with training and orientation of new teammates to department workflow and procedures

  • Assist other team members in various job functions as volume demands

  • Ring up prescriptions at point-of-sale

Requirements:

  • Two years pharmacy tech experience
  • PTCB certification in good standing

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Willing to undergo background check and drug screen

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist in Charge (Full-time) - Vale, NC

 

We are currently seeking an experienced, full time Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead our team and expand our business at our Vale, NC, location. This is a key position that performs everyday pharmacist duties while ensuring a positive experience for patients and providing a supportive environment for employees. This role has the support, flexibility and autonomy to engage and build relationships with patients and the community. This position also creates and executes programs to encourage health and wellness, improve patients' quality of life, and grow the business and revenues meaningfully. This role manages this location's operations, within the framework of TAS Drug's systems and guiding principles.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Compound and dispense prescribed medications

  • Advise physicians/other practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications

  • Counsel patients regarding medication administration, side effects, interactions, and other pertinent information

  • Ensure clinical duties/MTMs/CMRs are completed efficiently and effectively

  • Interact and engage with patients

  • Place orders for inventory with appropriate wholesale sources

  • Create work schedules for pharmacy staff

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a pharmacy team that reflects commitment to patient well-being and the success of the business.

  • Oversee the pharmacy with concern for regulatory requirements, inventory control, safety, and financial profitability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active NC Pharmacist License

  • Strong communication and “people” skills

  • Active Pharmacist Immunizer status

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in retail pharmacy setting

  • Business and management experience preferred

  • Patient-centered approach to care

  • MTM and CMR experience
